Last year, I attended my first WordCamp ever (WordCamp Miami 2016) and I had a great time. Meeting others in the WordPress community reminded me of why I have chosen this medium for the last decade or so, lol. This year, I decided I wanted to speak at a WordCamp. I would have returned to WordCamp Miami but I had a clash so I didn’t even apply to speak. Looking at others that were “nearby”, I decided to try for WordCamp Ottawa. Announcing the WordPress in Jamaica Survey
In my previous post, I mentioned the fact that Jamaica does not have a very active WordPress community. There are a lot of WordPress users, and many people building WordPress sites, but the community aspect falls short.
